2. VFW Post 430 is starting a VFW Auxiliary. The Auxiliary is comprised of family members who have had a family member serve in the Military. The Military member has to meet VFW requirements for the Auxiliary member to join. To find out how you are eligible, check out here first. You can then download an application here. If you are unsure if you meet the requirements, call Amanda Humphrey, Department of Texas VFW, District 9, Auxiliary President, at 254-317-6345. Annual dues will be $35 per year, or a Lifetime membership can be purchased on the application. After completing the application, submit the application along with your payment to VFW Post 430, ATTN: Auxiliary, PO Box 417, Canyon, Texas 79015.

 

3. VFW Post 430 is looking for eligible Military Members who want to join the FAMILY-FRIENDLY VFW Post. We have NO BAR, NO ALCOHOL, NO SMOKING. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. We are here to help each other, other Veterans in the community, and their families give back to the community through youth scholarships, recognize local first responders, occasionally sponsor a youth sports team, and organize various events.
